Software: Mutator, FormGrow, Physics and AI software Hardware:- One PC, Top End Graphics Card and Microsoft Azure camera body tracking camera and one LED Video screen at 5m X 3.5m.
Created in over a year, a new work Human Mutator Azure, uses a live Azure camera in the gallery to capture the body movements of members of the public and use these movements as the “generators” to procedurally spawn large scale 3D animating organic art forms in real-time from the human forms. When shown in the gallery the work veers, as time goes on, back and forth between order and chaos. The work addition displays a wide range of different 3D scenes with different structure for the public to enjoy and experiment with. A work where the members of the audience complete the work for the artist by infilling the grammar in the space. The work is influenced by the Italian painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo who lived from 1526 to 1593 in Milan, famous for his assemblage portraits made from fruit, tree branches and fish.
